SSCC Awards Annual Scholarship

The Board of Governors for the Scottish Society of Central California inaugurated a scholarship program in 2000. This program was design to encourage youth to continue onto higher education. The SSCC scholarship program is funded by society members, contribution from the community, and sponsors to challenge youth to reach beyond high school education.

Each year proceeds are received from the society's yearly Celtic Concert, to assist in funding this program along with the hearting giving contributions. Each year in May, two candidates are chosen to receive an SSCC Scholarship.

The SSCC Board of Governors has made our annual scholarship fund-raising program a priority to encourage higher education in our youth today. This program is awarded two deserving high school seniors who qualify by meeting the standards established by SSCC.
